Many personal injury claims result from a slip and fall type accident. One of the primary factors in this type of incident will be the slip resistance of the walking surface. In other words, how slippery was the floor or walkway on which the fall occurred. We can test the slip resistance of the walkway in question, under both wet and dry conditions, or with a particular surface contaminant present. Using a portable and reliable device, known as a tribometer, we can provide accurate and repeatable readings of the slip resistance of the walking surface, in accordance with ASTM standards. Measurements of the slip resistance of the surface in question, combined with an analysis of the footwear worn at the time, will allow us to provide an opinion on the causal factors of a slip and fall type accident.
